Frequency Relay (Speed Relay) – Flogan Frequency Protection Device

The Flogan Frequency Relay (Speed Relay) is a high-performance protection device designed to monitor frequency variations in electrical systems and protect sensitive equipment from damage caused by abnormal frequency conditions.

It continuously checks whether the supplied frequency is within the safe operating range. If the frequency goes beyond preset limits (either high or low), the relay triggers and activates protection mechanisms such as tripping breakers or disconnecting the load.

The relay also includes time delay functionality (1–2 seconds) to prevent nuisance tripping and features visual indication for trip conditions.

It supports multiple protection modes including:

• Over Frequency (50–55 Hz)
• Under Frequency (45–55 Hz)

Additionally, it can be used for speed monitoring applications, making it suitable for generators, motors, and industrial machinery.
